Our son died in 1991 and at that time we received a camellia called
Conrad Camellia, as a gift. His name was Conrad. The plant died and I would love to have another. It was a beautiful white blossom. Does anyone have a source on this plant?

Dear Rui Pacheco:

I e-mailed you some references. Sorry, it took too long - I was unusually busy for the last three weeks, including attending American Camellia Conference here in California.

Hello Yuri-
I just heard about your website and took a look--very nice! I liked the Chinese book information as well as much of the other information.
I wanted to add a couple of edit suggestions for the 'About the site' page:
1) 'sasanqua is called “cha-mai” ': change 'mai' to 'mei'
2) you have the correct character for 'mei' displayed; however, this is the character for 'plum', not 'pretty' (another, very common, character also romanized 'mei' means 'pretty). So a gloss would be 'tea-plum'.

Greetings!
First of all, congradulations for the website.
Second:
I'm an university student (last year) of Genetics and Biotechnology in Portugal, and I'm doing molecular analysis of a small population of Camellia sasanqua. Unfortunately, there are no great scientific articles in this subject with this specie. So I ask you if you know some or if you know some website where I can search about the genetic part of this plant. It would help me a lot.

Thanks a lot, and sorry if I waste your time.
Best wishes

Rui P.
rui_cruzp@hotmail.com

P.S.: English is not my mother language, so sorry about any error.

Tabitha:

Sure, just tell me which pictures would you like to use. I can also give you some additional information about the cultivars. You can send me e-mail to yuri@panchul.com

Jane:

If you cannot find Yuletide at your local nursery, you can order it from one of mail-order nurseries, for example http://camforest.com http://nucciosnurseries.com http://www.camelliashop.com
Look to the right side of the main page ( http://sazanka.org ) for the list of nurseries.

Yuri hello
I am looking for C. 'Yuletide', and found your site via GOOGLE. I had one for 20 + years until I killed it by putting it outside too early when I had to go away for a few weeks two years ago. Though I purchased it here -near Phialdelphia- I cannot locate one at a the local nursery. From your web site it looks like you maybe able to help me.
thanks
